OVERVIEW
Eleven students were competitively chosen from the Visual Communication area in the School of Art at
Ball State University to start a student-led design studio. We separated into two teams to complete four projects throughout the semester—one being the creation of a web slider, graphic, and animation for
The Facing Project.
As project manager, I assisted in managing the progression and timeline of the project from start to finish.
I helped provide feedback during internal reviews, met with clients, and prepared presentations to be sent to the clients.
RESULTS
Wanting to broaden a communities understanding of The Facing Project, the design concept was inspired by elements and factors found within communities. The Facing Project needed to explain "What We Do" and "How We Do It" in an easily digestible form. The results included a "What We Do" slider design which was then adapted into an animation for YouTube and an "How We Do It" digital graphic to explain the process of how to start a community facing project.
